ActionAid's headquarters and chief executive are based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Our work across the continent on HIV & AIDS prevention, care and treatment, famine relief, peace building, food and education reached more than seven million Africans in 2003. We work in Burkino Faso, Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea Bissau, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somaliland, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia.
