Taking place in London, Liverpool and Birmingham, this 5K run or walk offers a hugely rewarding and fun way to raise sponsorship money for ActionAid.
Despite an earlier downpour, the Adidas Women's 5K Challenge was a great success with all ActionAid team members completing the course in London, Liverpool and Birmingham. A big thank-you to the ActionAid team who are set to raise over £5,000 towards our work to empower those less fortunate.
Fancy taking up the challenge in 2009? Register your interest with us on run@actionaid.org
You don’t need to be a runner for this family day out. Just grab your trainers, bring your sisters, grans, aunts and girlfriends and enjoy the day either jogging, walking or even a brisk run alongside 30,000 females as they raise awareness and sponsorship for the charity of their choice.
Why join the ActionAid team?
We don’t just hand out aid. We work with people in poor countries to give them the power and resources to change their own lives – for good.
With your support we can continue our vital work with those less fortunate.
As an ActionAid runner we will ask you to raise a minimum sponsorship of £100 to take part (including a registration fee of £15). An ActionAid fundraising coordinator will be at hand to give you support, tips to help you reach your target and of course the all important ActionAid fair trade t-shirt or ActionAid running vest to help us spot you on the day!
Join our fundraising community www.myactionaid.org.uk and create your own fundraising page, upload photos, add blogs, interact with the ActionAid Running team and receive donations securely online without any loss of commission.
