Bupa Great South Run, 26 October 2008

This event in Southsea, Portsmouth is the UK's biggest 10-mile road race. It is a very flat race suitable for runners of all abilities - from those seeking a personal best time to those who are completely new to long distance running. 

The run takes place on Sunday 26 October, for ActionAid.  The run offers the ideal setting for all kinds of runners, both novice and experienced.   The 10-mile road race in Southsea, Portsmouth promises to be as memorable as ever for all who take part.

We don’t just hand out aid.  We work with people in poor countries to give them the power and resources to change their own lives – for good. With your support we can continue our vital work with those less fortunate.  We ask our ActionAid guaranteed runners to raise £250.00 each (excluding £50.00 registration fee which will not be processed if your application is unsuccessful), allowing us to work in over 50 countries with 19 million of the world’s poorest people.

We recognise that a fundraising target can seem daunting at first however we at ActionAid will offer you a Fundraising Coordinator giving support, ideas and advice on fundraising and the event itself including that all important ActionAid Running Vest!
