A gift in your Will could help a child like Kalayita

Before ActionAid started work in Arerewa, Ethiopia, Kalayita had little chance of an education. The 'nearest' school was a four-hour walk away and many families were so poor they needed their children to stay at home and help them with essential tasks, like collecting water or taking care of younger brothers and sisters.

But now there is a school nearby, Kalayita can continue helping her family whilst learning other skills like reading, writing and maths. With an education, she will be better able to earn a living and, when the time comes, provide for her own children.
