What is campaigning?

Make your mark, target AIDS treatment for all

ActionAid campaigns around the world to challenge the decisions which keep poor people locked in poverty.

Governments, big business and world leaders have the power to end world poverty. The lives of millions depend on the actions of a few powerful people.

Your voice is vital. Join us and help make change happen.

There are lots of ways you can get involved - from sending an email, signing a petition, writing to your MP or attending a rally.  Alongside your actions, we’re working behind the scenes for maximum impact.

Does it work?

Over the last few years our campaigning has helped to:

  • double the UK aid budget by 2013
  • cancel the debts of 20 poor countries, worth over $50 billon
  • win the promise of HIV treatment for all who need it
