We suggest that a minimum investment of £5 every month can help to change lives in the world’s poorest countries. But of course, the more you can give, the more lives we can transform. That’s because we have the skills, experience and local knowledge to maximise every penny you give.

So a donation of £5 goes further than buying £5 worth of bricks to build a school. Those bricks mean that children can get an education for many years to come, so the money you give never stops working and your investment continues to grow. 

In return for your investment, you will see what a vital role you play in our work. Every day we work alongside inspiring people who are fighting their way out of poverty.

Helping people to tackle and overcome poverty takes time. And before we can commit to long-term projects, we need to ensure we have a regular income we can rely on. Your investment, however small, can help us ensure poor communities have the means to build a better future for themselves.

Your monthly gift won’t be spent and forgotten. It will be invested in people and places where it can grow over time. 

We will invest your gift (alongside the gifts of other generous donors) where the need is greatest. And you can be sure your gift will be helping the world’s poorest people access the things we often take for granted, such as nourishing food, healthcare, education and a decent livelihood.

A little investment can go a long way. It can give a family the tools they need to grow food for years to come or training to allow them to earn a better living. It can also provide education for communities so they can make their voices heard by those in power.

We always spend our funds wherever people need us most. Thanks to the government's Gift Aid scheme, if you are a UK taxpayer, you can increase your investment at no extra cost to you.

ActionAid can reclaim the tax on your gift which increases the value of your gifts by almost a third. These additional gifts are used in priority areas around the world.
