ActionAid believes that ending poverty requires local, national and international action. One country alone cannot change the world but by working together we can end extreme poverty.
ActionAid works in rich countries such as the UK to challenge and change their Government’s international development policies, as well as the international institutions they play a leading role in.
International institutions
ActionAid works to push the British Government to play a positive role on the international stage.
The British Government
The British Government is a primary target of the work of ActionAid in the UK. Its decisions make a real difference to the developing world.
Parliament & political parties
ActionAid works to influence the development policies of British political parties and help parliament hold the Government to account.
Who we work with
ActionAid believes that we can be more effective by working with others. In the UK we are members of all of the major global poverty coalitions.
