Ambassadors make a commitment to give significant financial support to ActionAid’s priority work.
When we welcome you into our Ambassador network, we promise to give you one-to-one contact with a member of our Ambassador team and provide detailed and regular updates about the work you are supporting.
Ambassadors are invited to attend briefings on topics such as climate change, women's rights, HIV and AIDS and emergencies. You'll also be invited to several other formal and informal Ambassador events during the year.
Our annual Ambassador dinner has featured overseas speakers and celebrities such as Emma Thomspon, and is held at prestigious London venues, such as the House of Lords or the Royal Society of Arts.
There are also opportunities to hear more about our inspirational work at small, more intimate gatherings. HRH Prince Charles hosted an Ambassador dinner in 2008 at Clarence House. And each year we hold a small, informal Christmas drinks reception as a thank you to Ambassadors for their support.
Ambassadors may also visit the work they are funding to gain a deeper insight into how the network helps change people's lives.
Donations can be made either in a lump sum or in instalments.
