Congratulations to our group of intrepid supporters who returned triumphant after trekking through beautiful rural Vietnam, staying with local people en route.  We came from all walks of life and included an IT manager, a travel agent, a personnel director, a doctor and all had been fundraising and preparing for the trip for many months. 

We trekked through rice paddies and learned about life for the rural Vietnamese wearing our traditional hats and sampling local food.  We saw firsthand how ActionAid Vietnam supports education, community building and livelihoods.  Finally we enjoyed traditional song and dance and we responded with our cultural offering of the Grand Old Duke of York and Oh Flower of Scotland!  Laughter was in abundance throughout the week and all agreed it was a wonderful and memorable experience.  The group have raised over £16,000 for our work so far which we hope will raise even more!  Read more about the project visit
