Can you imagine yourself surviving in a winter wilderness environment, miles from anywhere?

This once-in-a-lifetime challenge will take you to northern Sweden and combines the chance to adapt to, and live in, the Arctic environment and satisfy your survival instinct!

Some of the activities you can expect to undertake include:

• husky driving
• ice fishing
• fire lighting
• building shelters and snow-holes
• cross-country skiing

   

Your week culminates in a two-day survival phase where you are totally reliant on your new skills!

Who's it for?

• This trip is designed to be challenging for those of good health and fitness, and is achievable for most people provided they train well in advance. The tour operator will supply you with a thorough training guide on registration.
• Included in the trip costs is a compulsory training weekend (dates and location to be advised 6 months prior to departure).

How to get involved?

To take part you have two payment options:

Fundraising Pay a registration fee of £299 and raise a minimum sponsorship of £3,375 (£3,500 for 2011 trip) from which ActionAid will pay your trip costs.

Self payment Pay a registration fee of £299 and your trip costs of £1,350 (£1,400 for 2011 trip). ActionAid will provide fundraising support so you can raise as much as you can for ActionAid's work.
