Congratulations to the five 'convicts' from London who entered the Guinness Book of World Records as the fastest chained group to run the Marathon.

Five friends from London entered the Guinness Book of World Records as the fastest chained group to run the Marathon, finishing in an incredible 3 hours, 38 minutes and 27 seconds.

Running to raise money for ActionAid, the group completed the entire 26.2 mile run through the streets of London in full convict fancy dress - linked to each other with chains!

The group of five Londoners, in their late twenties, include; Oliver Holland, a sports lawyer with Sky Sports, Nathan Jones, an operations manager, Eoghan Murray, a sports physiotherapist, James Kennedy, a head hunter and James Wrighton, an actor and comedian.

Over the last few months, the team have been calling on friends, family and colleagues to sponsor them. All the money raised will go towards the our work in tackling poverty across the globe, with the majority being used to fund a specific project to provide safe water for schools in Sierra Leone.

On breaking the world record, the team said: "We trained together. We ran together. We broke a Guinness World Record together. We’ll fight to end poverty together."
