ActionAid can help arrange a bespoke challenge for your school. Give children a learning experience to remember as they take on a trekking challenge and learn about local culture and customs. As part of your challenge you will visit ActionAid’s work and meet local children and families benefiting from the projects.
Fundraising can also be a great experience for children to learn new skills and grow in confidence. There are so many activities children can get involved in and also fundraise at school.
Highgate Tanzania Challenge
Families from Highgate School are taking on this incredible challenge in July this year. The children are aged between 11 and 15 and they can’t wait to meet the local children and discover Tanzania. Children and parents have been working together to fundraise and have taken part in cake bakes, supermarket bags packs, wrestling competitions and made meals for their friends which they have charged for.

"It’s been great for us as a family to have a joint enterprise and aim. We've planned and fundraised together and the children have given talks and presentations at school."
We think it will be an exciting and challenging adventure and a chance to see and learn about ActionAid's work firsthand, rather than just giving money" Clare Manuel, Tanzania challenge.
Please note, we ask for minimum numbers and fundraising target for each. ActionAid provides fundraising support to help you reach your target and can arrange presentation evenings for parents and children.
