20th anniversary celebrations
5 December 2008 starts a year long celebration of 20 years of Chembakolli. Use the project plan on anniversaries on Chembakolli.com and explore the importance of Adivasi Day.
Blogs
Each week a group of Adivasi children upload photos and write about their week. The Spotlight school in the UK also write weekly blogs. Everyone can get involved by adding comments to the blogs. It is a unique way for children to learn about people living in other places with different customs.
Resources
There are over 350 resources on the website for use. These include video clips, interactive panoramic images, sound clips, information documents, slide shows and over 300 photographs!
Interactivity
The website is ideal for whole class, group and individual use. Pupils can interact with several sections of the site. In the Hot seat section they can ask questions of the 'hot seaters' from India. They can also play Chembakolli games to find out more about life in Chembakolli.
Teachers’ section
On top of all the areas your pupils can explore, there is also a teachers’ section. It includes curriculum links, background information and a forum for you to post questions about teaching Chembakolli.
