So we had a thought. What if we didn't ask people to push their round selves into any square holes? What if we asked people to fight poverty in their own way?

After all, the more people get involved, the louder our voices.

Before long we had people putting on gigs, making art, even breaking world records, all in the name of Bollocks to Poverty.

And it's not just events, there are plenty of things you do every day which can help us - from shopping, to surfing the internet, and maybe some things you've always wanted to do - like skydiving, running a marathon or helping on a development project abroad.

The idea is simple. Do something you love; help fight poverty.

Volunteer at the festivals

Taking the Bollocks to Poverty message to festivals and other events gets people really interested in what ActionAid does, and our amazing volunteers make it happen.

They help us communicate the passion, energy and commitment that ActionAid has to fighting poverty. In 2010 we'll at the following festivals:
•    Beach Break Live, 14th – 19th June
•    Underage, 1st August (Volunteers have to be aged 16-17 to apply)
•    Reading Festival, 25th – 30th August
•    Freeze Festival, 29th – 30th October

Volunteer Registration
If you fancy coming along and volunteering with ActionAid, fill in the registration form below. If you already registered as a volunteer we've got your details and you will receive an email inviting you to apply.
