It’s pretty obvious to everyone by now that big corporations don’t always play fair.
If we had a penny for every story we heard about companies rich enough to buy the moon and stuff it full of diamonds exploiting the poor and vulnerable, we’d probably have enough cash to end poverty, pack up the office and go home.
Although the jobs and money that big corporations bring to poor countries should be a positive thing for people living in poverty, often their unethical antics prove that you can’t make a problem go away by throwing money at it. You have to respect people’s rights to end poverty.
Living in Britain, we can take our beef with corporations right to their front door.
