It's more than a cheeky scam to these people

The Outlandish Revenue Service - Going to ludicrous lengths to achieve tax justice

It's far more than a cheeky scam to these people.

Nurum Begum
To improve our education system we need more teachers. - Nurun Begum, Teacher, Bangladesh

Nurun Begum is a teacher at Naora Government Primary School in Bangladesh. She enjoys her job, but is frustrated because there are 400 students at the school and only nine teachers, so sometimes she has to teach classes of 80 (if you've got kids, you'll imagine what a barrel of laughs that is!).

Only 45% of her students will complete their primary education.

Unfortunately, the government doesn't have enough cash for more teachers - and their salaries can't be covered by short-term aid money. Only tax revenues can make this long-term investment in children's futures.

But Bangladesh is losing billions to multinational companies who dodge the taxes they owe. To make matters even worse, The National Board of Revenue has not been able to hire any new qualified tax officials for over 20 years.

That's why we'll do whatever it takes to stop cash being sneaked out of poor countries.
