ActionAid is proud to announce that it is the official charity partner for the Big Chill Festival 2010, which runs 4-8 August at Eastnor Castle Deer Park, Shropshire.
The Big Chill is one of the UK's most influential and innovative festivals, with 40,000 visitors this year, headliners including Massive Attack, MIA, Roots Manuva, and an art trail developed by mass nudity specialist Spencer Tunick.
It's a great place for ActionAid to spread the word about how we can help end poverty. Our worldwide HungerFREE campaign will be the main focus of our Big Chill activities, showing people in the UK what they can do to help people in the developing world free themselves from hunger.
ActionAid's cheeky little sister Bollocks to Poverty will also be hitting the festivals this summer, talking hunger at Reading Festival, Beach Break Live, Underage Festival and Freeze, while our 6 Degrees project continues to bring top female musicians together to promote women's rights worldwide.
ActionAid previously worked with the Big Chill creative team on the Haiti Fundraiser at the Roundhouse, which raised £91,000 to help earthquake survivors.
