What? ActionAid's fun family festival
When? 1 and 2 June
What time? 11am – 5pm
Where? College Green, Bristol
On 1 and 2 June ActionAid is holding its special Make Your Mark festival on College Green, Bristol.
Over two fun-filled days we’re bringing a little flavour of Africa to the heart of the West Country.
Food and face painting
We’ll have African drumming lessons, food and drink from across the continent, dancing workshops, African story-telling, face painting and lots more!
There will be loads to do and plenty of ways for kids to take part, so that everyone can learn a little bit about life in some of the poorest countries in the world. We’ll also be holding an art competition with a special prize – so that everyone can make their mark on the day.
Unveiling the collage
On Tuesday at 1.30pm our Make Your Mark collage will be unveiled by renowned Bristolian Mark Watson. The collage will contain the self-portraits of hundreds of people in the local area. If you’ve submitted your portrait, come along and see the finished artwork unveiled (and if you can't make it to Bristol, look out for the collage online soon after).
We look forward to seeing you on College Green for a day to remember!
