Top accountants attending the International Financial Reporting Standards for Extractive Industries conference have been be offered a free counselling service in a specially installed psychologist's office - complete with couch - outside the Hilton Metropole hotel by ActionAid UK tax campaigners.
They are being urged ensure that country-by-country reporting is included in their discussions, the best solution to the twin problems of corruption and tax evasion that plague the extractive industries.
The International Accounting Standard Board (IASB) have a chance to help end the madness of tax evasion that costs developing countries £160 billion per year.
