Schools in Lera Town

The project: Our commitment to the people of Lera Town continues with the reconstruction of a school at nearby Kilto. Lack of schools and poor facilities have led to low enrolment - especially of girls. There are currently several hundred children hoping to complete secondary education at a school with only two classroom blocks.

Aim: To expand Kilto high school to provide access to secondary education for 90% of  children in the area - including a 90% enrolment for girls.

Your donation: With a regular gift, you can help us make the kind of long-term commitment that the  people of Lera Town need  most.

CHANGE LIVES TODAY!

Thanks to you:

Thanks to Vicky's Water Project, safe water is now available to over 20,000 residents of the Lera Town area. Pupils used to spend many hours every day fetching water. They also used to regularly miss school due to waterborne illnesses.

Between 2007 and 2009, your continued support for the people of Lera Town has provided Lera Town High School with a new classroom block, desks, chairs, tables and over 1000 reference books
