The Human Rights Watch Film Festival (24 March - 1 April) returns to London with a programme of challenging documentaries and dramas. This year, in association with the Festival, we are proud to present two stunning films highlighting the struggle for the right to education in Kenya:
The documentary A Small Act follows former sponsored child Chris Mburu as he tries to replicate this generosity and fund a new generation of students in Kenya.

The First Grader is a rousing drama telling the true story of an 84-year-old man who, after the Kenyan government announces it will offer free primary education for the first time, shows up at his local school, ready for class.
