On Thursday 18 November 2010, a hundred of London's most dedicated wine buffs joined celebrity stars Clive Anderson, Michael Buerk, Brian Cox, Lucy Porter and Andy Parsons for a remarkable night of lies, deception and superb wine. We are delighted to announce that ActionAid's gala event Call My Wine Bluff raised over £120,000.
In this high-spirited take on the classic TV game-show, four celebrity panelists try to dupe guests and each other into believing a fictional story behind the wine being tasted - the tales ranged from tall to ridiculous.
There were some amazingly generous gestures on the night, including a single auction bid of £20,000 for a stay at Glastonbury's luxury Camp Kerala.
