Why join ActionAid Live?

Huw Stephens

“When an emergency strikes – whether it’s an earthquake, flood or tsunami – we all want to do what we can to help. ActionAid Live brings together music fans, bands and promoters in a united effort to save lives both in those vital first few days following a disaster and in the long term.

“I’ve seen for myself the amazing work ActionAid does, and they’re one of the most inspiring charities out there – by raising money for them in an emergency, the money you raise will make the biggest difference possible.”

Everything Everything

“We’d like you to put your hands up and take action next time there’s a global emergency. If you attend an ActionAid Live gig or put one on yourself, you’ll be raising money to help ActionAid save lives in some of the poorest parts of the world. £50 will feed an entire family for a fortnight, and £100 could shelter two families. We’re doing our bit to support ActionAid Live and we want you to do the same.”

Cancer Bats

“Disaster can strike at anytime. When emergencies hits, we all have to do our part to raise money and save lives. We're excited that we're now using our music to be part of ActionAid Live, and we ask all our fans to sign up too and do their part for ActionAid the next time there's an earthquake, flood or tsunami. If everyone out there raises even $1, we can save thousands of lives!”

Melvin Benn, Festival Republic

“The music industry has a fantastic history of helping out in global emergencies – from Live Aid through to any number of smaller-scale fundraising gigs; music and humanitarian aid have always worked together well.

"We’ll certainly be doing what we can at Festival Republic to help with their latest initiative, and I’d urge everyone else in the industry to take notice and support this worthwhile, potentially lifesaving effort too.”
