Kilimanjaro Challenge 2012

18th - 27th October 2012

At 5,895m, Mt. Kilimanjaro is one of the largest volcanoes ever to break through the Earth's crust.

Your challenge is to reach its summit.

Kilimanjaro Challenge 2012The beautiful Machame Route approaches Kilimanjaro from the south and the 6-day trek starts through dense tropical rainforest, passing through some of the mountain’s best features - the Shira Plateau, Barranco Wall, and Karanga Valley - on the way to the summit. It’s the most popular route on Kilimanjaro and not without good reason.

Acclimatisation allowance combined with varied topography and features along the way, make it one of the most interesting ascents of Kilimanjaro and on reaching the summit you will feel on top of the world!

After completing this fantastic challenge, we’ll then take you to visit nearby ActionAid projects in Tanzania, allowing you to witness first-hand our work in action.

We will support you with your fundraising and can put you in touch with others in your team, as well as people who have done an event before.
