Can you help us teach?
Join our ever expanding team of visiting teachers.
Thanks to the increasing success of our school visits service, we are now looking for even more teachers to help us widen pupils’ understanding of poverty.
Visits cover all ages and are based around PowerPoint talks. Each vivid slide encourages questions and discussion on global issues. You can also create your own talks and activities.
We currently need teachers in the following areas:
You will be paid £30 per visit and your travel expenses. There is no fundraising involved.
“Being an ActionAid visiting teacher is really rewarding, as the pupils and students are very enthusiastic about a lesson that's a bit different. ActionAid material is well documented and presented, and if you throw in some artefacts, exotic fruit and veg and clay and paint you've got an exciting time ahead!” Sue Smailes, Bristol area visiting teacher
You can view pictures of a school visit on Westwood Junior School's website. Thanks to Chris Jupp for producing the web pages.

If you have teaching experience and a few days spare each month, please email your CV to schools@actionaid.org.uk.
