The campaign brings together parents, charities and teachers to demand an end to school fees. One of those who benefits is 85-year-old Kimani Ng'ang'a (pictured). When school fees are abolished in Kenya, he takes the opportunity to finally have an education; sitting alongside his grandchildren at his local primary school. The same year, we join forces with development organisations and teachers' unions to help set up the Global Campaign for Education, calling on people all over the world to support free, quality basic education for all.
