The ActionAid schools team were up in Manchester for The Geographical Association (GA) conference (12th – 14th April) to launch our brand new teaching resource ‘The Work of an NGO’.
‘The Work of an NGO’ has been written to support the secondary school teaching of aid and/or development in Geography and Citizenship.
Spread over three lessons, learners investigate, debate and evaluate the following key questions:
- What is an NGO?
- How has ActionAid evolved over 40 years?
- What are the different ways that aid money can be spent to support development?
The GA delegates were given two free ‘The Work of an NGO’ posters as part of the resource launch (see main image for example). We have a few copies left which we will giveaway to anyone who gets in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org with ‘NGO posters’ in the subject line. Don’t forget to tell us your name and school address!
