Are you a parent trying to keep your children entertained whilst spending more time indoors? Or a teacher looking for remote lesson ideas? Look no further!
Take part in Big Me, ActionAid’s dress up day with a difference. Encourage your child/pupils to dress up as what they want to be when they grow up and spend the day exploring their future hopes and aspirations, all whilst learning about the challenges faced by children around the world.
How it works
1Download.Sign up to access a range of downloadable resources to help make your Big Me day as fun and easy as possible. Resources include a wordsearch, quiz, letter to future self exercise and much more.
2Donate. Make a one-off donation to support our Coronavirus Appeal to help stop the spread and saves lives, as the pandemic hits the world’s poorest countries.
3Dress up. Encourage your child/pupils to dress up as their dream job. You could even join in too!
Where your money goes
Money raised through Big Me will support our response to the coronavirus pandemic in some of the poorest countries in the world.
£10 could provide a hygiene kit, including soap for a family in Senegal for a month.
£13 could pay for a box of 50 face masks for women and girls living in the densely populated Rohingya refugee camps.
£40 could provide critical Personal Protective Equipment for frontline health workers in Myanmar.
£55 could provide a cash transfer to a family in Haiti who are struggling to earn a living and buy food during lock down.
Please help us get as many people involved in Big Me as possible by sharing pictures of your children, pupils, or even of yourselves on social media. Just tag @ActionAidUK, use the #BigMe and nominate your friends to take part too!
