Ending violence against women and girls
One in three women worldwide will experience physical violence or sexual abuse in their lifetime, most likely carried out by someone they know.

Money raised from this event will support women like Cecilia.
Cecilia is a volunteer member of an ActionAid Community-Based Anti-Violence Teams or COMBAT squad – a peaceful activist group established by ActionAid in order to bring an end to violence against women and girls.
Cecilia works tirelessly in her community in Ghana, visiting churches, schools and other community centres, to raise awareness of domestic violence, helping affected neighbours to better understand their legal rights and the support services available.
Violence against women remains a serious issue across the world, with one in three women experiencing violence or abuse during their lifetimes. With ActionAid's support, women and girls are building a new world – one that’s safe and equal. A world in which no woman lives in fear of violence. It is vital that we stand with them.
