ActionAid at Latitude Festival 2018

We’re returning to Latitude Festival for the fourth year running, where we’ll be encouraging everyone to stand together, speak out and say #MyBodyIsMine

Join us beside the main BBC Music Stage for a weekend packed with fun and empowering activities, from getting your own #MyBodyIsMine temporary tattoo to secret comedy gigs

From a virtual reality tour to our ‘surf the wave of change’ surf simulator, read on to discover what we’ve got in store for you this year.

Applications to volunteer with us at Latitude Festival this year are now closed. Thank you to everyone who submitted an application.

Bringing #MyBodyIsMine to Latitude

Whether you’re wearing a bikini at a festival, a uniform in a classroom or a trouser suit at work, you have the right to be free from harassment or abuse.

One in three women worldwide will experience physical violence or sexual abuse in their lifetime, most likely by someone they know. Beneath so much of this violence is a common idea: that women and girls’ bodies are the property of men, for them to exploit and control.

This is wrong, and it needs to stop. At Latitude Festival, ActionAid is encouraging women and girls to stand together and say #MyBodyIsMine. Men and boys can take part in all the activities too, to show their support for #MyBodyIsMine and women’s rights.
