Srabani Sen OBE has been announced as the new Chair of Trustees at ActionAid UK, an international charity working with women and girls living in poverty. She will take up her position in September 2020

Srabani joins ActionAid UK with 30 years of experience in the not-for-profit sector, including three CEO roles and three Chair roles.  

Originally a campaigner, she has spent her career working to address poverty and inequality, including chairing campaigning organisation 38 Degrees and children and young people’s charity The Winch.

In 2019, Srabani launched leadership consultancy 'Full Colour' to bring a new approach to diversity and inclusion. Prior to that she specialised in delivering sector-wide and organisation-specific projects around leadership, transformational change, and empowering people and communities through her consultancy which she launched in 2014.

Commenting, Srabani Sen incoming Chair of Trustees, said:

The new Chair will be key to motivating the board for ActionAid UK, which is part of the ActionAid International Federation of development charities. With an annual income of nearly £200m globally, this Federation works in 45 countries, reaching thousands of communities.
