As the long sunny evenings draw out it’s the perfect time to add Millione, a lightly sparkling rose frizzante, to any summer barbeque or picnic. Millione is the wine that not only tastes and looks good, but does good too.

Millione aims to delight the taste buds of summer wine drinkers while also raising one million pounds. From every bottle purchased £1 will go straight to building primary schools in Sierra Leone.

We want to sell 1 million bottles and build 20 community-run schools across the country giving over 10,000 children the education they so desperately need. Since the launch in September we have raised over £100,000, and this has given the foundation enough money to build the first two schools.

The warm weather that is turning the UK into the new Mediterranean is the perfect time to enjoy Millione. Be sure to drink it well chilled from the fridge, and try it with seasonal fruit like figs or strawberries for a real treat.

You will have a delicious drink and help us build some more of schools. So become One in a Millione and help us by regularly adding Millione to your summer shopping list.

Jack Dee, Stephen Fry and Emma Thompson have all become One in a Millione. Emma had nothing but praise for the wine “Oh that‘s lovely... full of hope and joy and that’s the best taste I’ve ever tasted in a wine.”

The walking encyclopaedia himself, Stephen Fry said “Mmm, oh yes, oh God, oh hell yes...”

Co-founder Jerry, visited Sierra Leone with anti -poverty charity ActionAid and returned with a new out-look having experienced the abject poverty first hand. He was determined to raise the much needed funds, and how better than doing what he does best and launching a new wine.

Millione was born soon after, and founders Jerry Lockspeiser, Cliff Robertson and Mike Paul are now asking you to become, ‘One in a Millione.’

“It’s about celebrating life and hope,” said Jerry. ”It’s also about inspiring friends to share a bottle together in the knowledge that parents and children in Sierra Leone are celebrating the gift of an education.”

Millione is available in most supermarkets or online from Laithwaites.co.uk. Find out more at www.oneinamillione.com
