Create a lasting tribute with a Love In Action Fund
A tribute fund is an online space where you can celebrate someone special with your friends and family, sharing photos, messages and stories. They are also a wonderful way to remember your loved one on special occasions, holidays and anniversaries.
You may also like to use the tribute fund to raise funds for ActionAid, creating lasting change for women and girls.
How to set up your tribute fund:
1. Let us know who your tribute is for
We’d love to remember your loved one with you, as you share details about them for your tribute page. Add photos, memories and choose whether you want this page to be private or public.
2. Activate your tribute fund
We partner with MuchLoved to host your tribute page.
3. Collect funds in memory of your loved one
Friends and family can donate directly to your tribute page, share photos and add messages.
4. Keep updated with ActionAid’s work
We’ll keep you updated on how your donations are helping to build a world your loved one would have liked to see.
Share a memory and dedicate a gift dedication
If you’d like to do something more personal than just make a donation but creating a tribute fund doesn’t feel right, you may like to make a personal dedication on our special remembrance wall. Here you can share a memory, post a photo and dedicate a gift to someone special.
What’s more, your dedication will be featured alongside other messages from families, so you can be sure your loved one is in good company and remembered among others who shared their values and vision of a better world.
Women's Rights group
In Tanzania, opportunities for women to earn an income were limited and prevented women from achieving financial independence.
Fatuma, a member of a Women’s Rights group in Mafia, explained “the only source of income available to women in my community was processing fish, it was poorly paid, and left many of us reliant upon our husbands for financial support".
Together, the women in the group identified other ways in which women could earn an income and explained the support they wanted from the government to help with this.
As a result of this meeting, an action plan was agreed and training workshops in seaweed farming and coconut and fish processing were organised. Over 400 women participated in this training, learning how to process seaweed and coconut into products such as soap, juices and biscuits.
"I am proud that I now earn enough to pay my children’s school fees, save money, and contribute to household bills,” said Fatuma.
Fatuma now earns enough money to support herself
