Our emergency appeals | ActionAid UK

When an emergency strikes, we move fast to save lives. Our local staff provide immediate relief in a crisis, working around the clock to deliver essential supplies to the worst hit communities.

The Emergencies Action Fund is there to make sure we are always ready to respond to emergencies, to save as many lives as possible. It is reserved solely for ActionAid’s work in emergencies. Donate now to our Emergencies Action Fund.

ActionAid is responding to emergencies right now. Find out more about our current emergency appeals, and how you can help.

East Africa Crisis

Almost 12 million people across Somaliland, Ethiopia and Kenya urgently need food. Many communities are severely affected by drought and their livestock and crops are dying. ActionAid are distributing food and water to the worst affected areas, but the situation is critical. In Somalia alone, over six million people are acutely malnourished. Famine could soon be a reality. Donate to our East Africa Crisis Appeal.

Hurricane Matthew, Haiti

Hurricane Matthew, one of the most powerful storms to hit the Caribbean in a decade, killed over 800 people in Haiti and left thousands homeless. ActionAid teams on the ground delivered hygiene kits, cholera kits, water and food to those in the greatest need.

Food crisis, Yemen

More than 7 million people in Yemen do not know where their next meal will come from and children are dying from malnutrition. Your donation will help DEC member agencies reach the most vulnerable with live-saving supplies.
