How your gift can help future generations of women and girls
Muaziza is a mother of four living in Nampula, a city in northern Mozambique, where she was displaced after a cyclone devastated her home community in Cabo Delgado. Forced to flee, Muaziza now lives with her extended family.
Determined to create a new livelihood, Muaziza enrolled in a course with an ActionAid partner, after being encouraged by a friend. There, she fulfilled a lifelong dream of becoming a chef, learning to make biscuits, cakes, and savoury foods.

After completing the course, Muaziza set up a small business selling baked goods, with her children often helping her. Looking ahead, she hopes to grow her business by buying proper cooking equipment, including an oven, and securing a permanent street stall to sell her products and support her family.
