March has arrived and the New Year probably seems like a distant memory, so it’s time to remind ourselves of the resolutions that may have already fallen by the wayside.
Psychologists suggest that spring is a great time to reassess and reinstate aspirations previously made in January, as you are much more likely to achieve them when starting them afresh in the spring.
So what were your aims for 2014? Perhaps they were to travel and see more of the world, or become more involved in charitable endeavours? By signing up to ActionAid’s exciting overseas fundraising trip, the Vietnam First Hand Experience you can make these positive changes.
Help end poverty and improve education
The event running in 2014 not only gives you the opportunity to travel and learn new skills but will enable you to help contribute to ending poverty and see first hand the work ActionAid does– and get involved too.
If you’re willing to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in, then why not help build a classroom in Vietnam?
The trip of a lifetime
This unique 9 day challenge will take place from 24 October to 2 November. The group will travel to a school in the magnificent Mekong Delta, Vietnam and immerse themselves in the vibrant Vietnamese culture.
Your task will be to help build a desperately-needed classroom for a local pre-school. You will also get to meet the children you are helping and see the importance of education in these rural communities.
Aside from these activities, participants will also have the chance to explore the exciting Ho Chi Minh City and have the option to extend their trip to visit the stunning Halong Bay.
Enthusiasm and self-motivation required
This trip requires no previous fundraising or challenge experience - merely enthusiasm and self-motivation. Even though the trip doesn't take place until the latter part of the year - sign up now. This could be just the inspiration you need to transform your New Year’s goals into aims that successfully span the whole year.
So what are you waiting for? Order an information pack, dig out your passport and building gloves and make 2014 your most productive and exciting year so far!
