Make your money go further with Gift Aid

Gift Aid is a government scheme which means registered charities can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give, at no cost to you.

Gift Aid on donations can raise millions every year for the work and girls that we stand in solidarity with.

Are you a UK taxpayer?

If so, every pound you’ve given to ActionAid in the last four years and anything you donate going forward could be worth 25% more.

That means a £50 donation becomes £62.50 and it doesn’t cost you anything.

What your Gift Aid could do

Your extra 25% could help:

  • more girls manage their periods safely, so they don’t miss school
  • more families rebuild after disasters like earthquakes
  • more communities access clean, safe water

And because it goes where it’s needed most, your support reaches women and girls creating change in their own lives and communities.

FAQs about Gift Aid

If you have more questions about Gift Aid, you can find out how Gift Aid works, who’s eligible, and how to add it to your donation in our FAQs section.

Please confirm your details below, and we’ll start putting those extra Gift Aid donations to use straightaway.

Will you tick the box today?

Gift Aid is basically free money from the Government and it’s totally legit.

If you tick the box, we can then claim an extra 25p from the government for every £1 you’ve donated to ActionAid over the last four years and for anything you give in the future, without it costing you a penny.

If every tax-paying ActionAid supporter ticked the Gift Aid box, we’d have an extra £1million a year to support even more women and girls.

If you’re able to tick the box today, it would make such a difference. Together, we can support women and girls as they stand up for their rights, stay safe from violence, and help lead their communities out of poverty.
