Commenting on the coming rainy season in Bangladesh, Farah Kabir, Country Director at ActionAid Bangladesh, said:

“The safety of the Rohingya refugees in the camps – particularly women and girls – is extremely fragile. They have been through a terrible ordeal to get here and now the monsoons threaten to deal a fatal blow, by damaging shelters and spreading disease.

"The international community and Bangladesh must help prevent a disaster, for the refugees and for the poorest people elsewhere in the country.”
