A future vet in her uniform on Big Me day at her school
ActionAid UK
How it works
Pick any day this term. Ask your pupils to dress up as their dream job and bring in £1 for ActionAid. By taking part in ActionAid's primary school fundraiser, you'll be able to use our free resources, such as word searches, to help plan a Big Me lesson and support your class to realise their dreams.
You’ll be joining thousands of pupils across the UK who will be discovering their aspirations and raising money to help change lives, for good.
Where your money goes
Sarbari is 13 years old and lives in Narok, Kenya.
ActionAid has worked with Sabari's community to build a classroom block and is supporting them to fund the building of two new classrooms. Sabari says, “I am doing well in school. I am happy all of the time. I like reading and football.”
At their school, children are taught about the importance of the environment in an area where deforestation has caused many problems with floods, drought, hunger and migration. Children are encouraged to plant seedlings at their school which will protect the building and grounds from sun, wind and rain.
