What makes ActionAid different?
Working for ActionAid is different to working with other charities. For a start, we’ve been around since 1973, so we’re one of the longest established and best respected charities in the UK. Many of our front line staff and partners around the world live in the communities in countries where we work across Africa, Asia and America.
Our approach is all about empowering people to claim their rights. And so our working relationships in the UK and across the world are based on mutual trust, respect and democracy. If you like the sound of that, we can’t wait to welcome you aboard.
Meet your new colleagues
From receptionist to chief executive, front-end developer to grants administrator, ActionAid staff are incredibly committed, creative and talented. People join us at many different stages of their careers – from apprentice to chief operating officer - bringing a wealth of different experience and points of view.
We’re proud of the opportunities we create for employees to help them progress and develop their skills. Meet a handful of UK staff here to see their ActionAid journeys for yourself.
