ActionAid UK is seeking a Proposals and Grants Officer to play a critical role in securing vital funding to support women and girls worldwide. This is an exciting opportunity to craft compelling donor communications and manage grants that drive sustainable and meaningful change.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Engaging Donor Communications: Craft powerful proposals, concept notes, and donor reports that highlight ActionAid’s strategic work. Bring to life the stories of individuals and communities we support, translating technical programme details into compelling narratives.
  • Grant Management Excellence: Manage a portfolio of restricted grants, ensuring high standards of reporting, monitoring, and compliance. Collaborate with programme staff globally to provide accurate and inspiring updates to donors.
  • Organisation & Strategic Planning: Previous experience of working in a fast-paced environment and of managing and prioritising a varied workload to meet agreed deadlines as well as previous experience of working in a cooperative and flexible way as part of a busy team, with the ability to review existing team systems and processes and innovate to improve team efficiency Proven ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload, taking initiative and meeting deadlines
  • Knowledge Sharing: Lead the development of internal resources, including a monthly newsletter that shares updates from across the Federation. Ensure the wider team is informed and equipped to engage donors effectively.

ActionAid UK has a hybrid working policy for many of our roles. The requirement will vary from team to team and the responsibilities of individual roles. As a minimum, all colleagues are expected to attend the office 12 days per year, plus additional time for induction, training, and company connection days. Some roles may require in-office attendance on all days and if so, these will clearly be marked as in-office roles.

Please note that ActionAid UK does not offer fully remote working options. We encourage you to discuss hybrid working expectations at interview.
