Commenting on reports of a series of bombings in Kabul, Mike Noyes, head of humanitarian response at ActionAid UK, said:

“ActionAid condemns this appalling attack on innocent people – including women and children. This was a deliberate and cowardly assault on families going about their daily lives, and brave journalists covering important stories. Our thoughts are with those affected. We will continue to support the most vulnerable women and children in Afghanistan, who deserve to live free from the threat of violence.”
